Katie is a highly skilled criminal lawyer with decades of experience in the field of criminal law. Katie qualified as a Barrister in 2008 and in 2010 undertook the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test and was admitted as a solicitor that same year.
In 2011, she was awarded her Higher Rights of Audience in all criminal courts and appears as a trial advocate before the Crown Court as well as the Magistrates’ Court and Youth Court. As well as being a Higher Court Advocate, Katie is also a duty Solicitor and accredited police station representative.
Katie joined Sansbury Douglas in 2017 and leads the Crown Court department, handling the most serious cases. As a Partner, she plays a key role in steering the direction of the firm and serves as the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice. Her approach is defined by empathy and an unwavering commitment to securing the best possible outcomes for clients.
