Hannah works with clients accused of a crime, making sure they understand what’s happening and supporting them every step of the way. As she pulls together evidence, she often works with barristers and court administration teams, as well as defence witnesses such as third party experts, psychologists and forensic scientists. She then makes sure that each case is prepared, water-tight and ready for court. She’s also one of our Accredited Police Station Representatives.

“I think what’s really important, is that people know they have someone on their side. Someone who understands their case inside out – and is dedicated to helping them get the best result. Being arrested can be a scary and confusing time – so I always do my best to reassure people and answer their questions.”
Telling hard truths
“I’m always honest with my clients, but sometimes I have to deliver bad news. That’s probably the hardest part of my job. I try to break it to them kindly – it may not be what they wanted to hear – but I still want them to feel like they can rely on me.”
Pulling together as a team
“When you’re handling cases that range from petty theft to major crimes, it’s impossible to know everything. But if I have a question, I can go to a colleague or partner, and they’ll always find time to help. We’re a really close-knit team and everyone works hard. Having that kind of backup makes all the difference”
Always rewarding
“What’s satisfying for me is knowing that I’m helping people in really difficult situations. It’s always a good feeling when people are grateful for the guidance and support I’m able to give them throughout the process.”
