Previously a partner at Sansbury Douglas, David is a seasoned law professional – with a career that spans decades and all levels of the criminal justice system. He primarily works in the Magistrates’ Court but also provides police station representation. He is known for his calm, supportive approach and the way he quickly builds a rapport with clients.
Building trust and confidence
“One of the most important aspects of my job is gaining a client’s trust – and quickly. Many of the people I represent are facing the most difficult situations of their lives. Whether they’re new to the justice system or repeat clients, they need to know I’m on their side, working to get them the best possible outcome. At the same time, it’s my job to be upfront and honest with them. I won’t sugarcoat things, but I will ensure they understand their situation and what lies ahead.”
The satisfaction of a good result
“There’s nothing more rewarding than securing a good result for a client. Sometimes that means winning a tough case – other times, just ensuring a fair sentence. What matters most to me is knowing I’ve done everything possible to help my clients navigate the system and for them to know straight away that I’m there to do the best for them – to be someone who is on their side.”
A strong and experienced team
“At Sansbury Douglas, I think the team element is really strong and people are helpful to each other. Because most of the people here are very experienced, there’s always someone to bounce your ideas off. If you’re not certain, or you just want some reassurance, you know that people will sit down and have a chat. I’ve been in this profession long enough to know that a strong, well-functioning team makes all the difference.”
A unique firm
“We treat every client with respect and communicate in a way they understand. And always go the extra mile to ensure our clients receive the highest standard of legal support. That’s something we pride ourselves on – and I think it’s what sets us apart.”

“Thank you to David, a fantastic service and the amount of support given was excellent.”
