Peter is an experienced solicitor who heads up our Magistrates Court Department.  He undertakes the whole spectrum of Magistrates’ Court work, but has a particular specialism in trials and Road Traffic Law. Peter is also a Higher Court Advocate and undertakes hearings in the Crown Court.

Judy qualified in Oxford before moving to Bristol and has been with Sansbury Douglas for over 20 years. She is a dedicated Magistrates Court advocate and has considerable experience in all types of criminal defence and road traffic work.

Katie completed a law degree at the University of the West of England in 2004 and went on to study a Masters Degree in International Law at the University of Bristol in 2006.  She then qualified as a Barrister in 2008 and in 2010 undertook the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test and was admitted as a solicitor that same year.

In 2011, Katie was awarded her Higher Rights of Audience in all criminal courts and appears as a trial advocate before the Crown Court as well as the Magistrates’ Court and Youth Court.

Katie joined Sansbury Douglas as a Partner in 2017 and is Head of the Crown Court Department.
